I'm an Instructor with a group in Cornwall and we have 6 TTR125s These
bikes were serviced by a certified motorcycle mechanic in order to pass
the MTO safety check. He pulled all the carbs and cleaned them. Since
that time none of the bikes will idle.. Adjusting the idle speed screw
does nothing whether screwed in or out, unless the choke is pulled, then
I can vary the speed using the screw. If I remove the pilot jet which is
adjustable the bike will not run unless I put my finger over the pilot
screw opening then it will run as though the pilot screw were installed
until the bike stalls. Any ideas on what I can do to remedy the problem?
Thanks
Rick

Heck.. If the guy is certified.. then make him fix the errors. IT could be
that there's an o-ring or washer that's supposed to be under the idle
mixture screw or something similar.. that wasn't replaced during re-
assembly.. or maybe there are pilot/main jets that were reassembled into
the wrong positions... Fuel level set wrong in the float bowls?

I do know that Haynes manuals have been wrong in their descriptions of carb
parts before, so whatever went wrong could have been an honest mistake...

G'Luck!
